Our Heritage

LS Industrial began the summer of 1988 and has never looked back. The founding partners Pete and Annikki Staff were determined to offer work clothing that was work appropriate alongside exemplary hands-on customer service. Indeed this has been LS Industrial’s underlining theme and resulted our year on year successes.

 
LS Industrial to Bild Workwear…

Our business has evolved over the years, since it’s inception in 1988 from a largely ‘industry’ facing company selling disposables to the automotive industry to a more people focussed business, providing workwear and uniforms to automotive dealerships across the country, as well as other industry sectors such as retail, leisure and construction (to name but a few).

Because of this gradual shift, we took the decision to rename the company. We needed our brand to  work as a more effective distance selling tool through online ordering and commerce. Whilst still a business to business operation, buyers of workwear are more and more operating like consumers using the internet to browse, compare and choose garments and suppliers.

We wanted a punchy, short and bold name and settled on ‘Bild’ – German for ‘Image’ – we feel it reflects our values to our customers: We look after your image, through workwear and uniforms, we are solid, dependable and reliable, and (using a play on words) we are interested in the building (bild) blocks of business. Whilst we are now selling online, our core value of face to face customer service remains as we believe ultimately our customers still need and want that extra touch and feel service of seeing the garments first hand – and having the selection and process of ordering workwear fully managed, saving you time, stress and money.
